Reliance is secretly deducting money from mobile consumers phone.

Brief :
=====

- Reliance is doing illegal business and making money. Airtel also doing the similar thing.
- These companies must be making several crores profit every month by doing this.
- Their system deducts money automatically from consumers mobile phone.
- Balance deduction from mobile phone is majorly very common in Reliance and Airtel and everyone (Common Man) is ignoring it. I am not sure about other mobile operators.

Incident time :
============

26th Jan, 2012 at 3 PM.

Problem :
=======
- Additional 20/- got debited from my a/c instead 3/- my balance should be 25.77 but it showed 5.77/-
- Reliance secretly deducted my a/c by 20 rupees.
- After i ended the call and see that my phone balance is only 5.77 instead 25.77, i was shocked.
- Called 198 number (Toll Free) to raised a complaint and they immedietaly credited the money and sent an SMS about this.
-  I went to Reliance World, Andheri-Kurla Road, J B Nagar, Andheri (East), i was told they cant do much from here and requested to contact on following details.

-  Following are SMS details
    "You have been successfully waived and your unsusbscription requested has been accepted"
   This sms came from number 51234123 on same day at 3:23 PM.
-  On reliance GSM phone today 8th Dec 2011 at 3:15 am "You do not have sufficient balanace for this transaction" On screen (Notification) display.
    What this messsage means reliance was trying to deduct money from a/c and that too in night time so that i even dont get to know about this.
    It clears that reliance is secretly deducting money from consumers mobile phones.
   This is when i was doing night shift and was on a tea break.

What Reliance customer care says about

1. Due to technical problem money was debited. We are sorry about it.
2. You had pressed X button, Okay button, or sent an SMS to activate the service.
3. I have been told that i have activated Shayri and friendship pack.
4. We cant give you any complaint number
5. We will pass this feedback to our seniors.
6. We have a number 198 to dial (Toll Free) to register a complaint and we return the money back to consumer

Questions :
=========
1. If any money is debited why dont consumer get an SMS about it.
2. This problem is since last 6 years, why cant it be fixed.
3. How many remember know their last (available) balance, if they make call without knowing last balance they would not come know whether some extra money has been debited to their a/c.
4. How is Reliance going to fix this issue, any action being taken on this.
5. I have been told by Reliance World that by Monday i will get a call regarding this, let's see how it goes.
6. Any value added service will get activated only if we press *12217# or we call customer care and activate it. Reliance has some script/code which runs randomly and that deducts money from poor people's a/c.

Common Mans' voice : What others says about it.

1. The mobile retailer says even he is having similar problem and is very frustrated. He also said that he similar issues with Airtel SIM as well. But being a mobile retailer he needs to use both Reliance and Airtel connection. He said that he never faced this types of issues in Vodafone.
2. My colleague also has similar issue, from his mobile, reliance is deducting 4hrs every now and then and he is tired of calling reliance complaint number 198 (Toll Free) to get money back.
3. Today when i visited Reliance world, Andheri i saw another frustrated man, he said this issue is with both Reliance CDMA and Reliance GSM and in both Pre-paid and Post-paid connections.  This man also told me that he has seen similar issue in Vodafone pre-paid and post-paid connection.
4. When i went to pay my Hathway connection bill, i met an Vodafone executive, he said this problem is common and it is with almost all mobile operators. He advised to use post-paid connection to be away from fraud charges.
5. Last year, from my fathers reliance phone 35/- got deducted  and when i complaint they returned the money back, but the very next day they again deducted that 35/-. What to do, Should we keep calling Reliance customer and waste half an hour time.

Suggestions:
==============

1. If you use Reliance CDMA or Reliance GSM, please be aware that this company deducts money from consumers a/c without any service activation. They activate from their side silently.
2. They deduct money with amout 3 rupees, 4 rupees, 20 rupees etc.
3. If you find such issue, immeditely call 198 (Toll Free Number ) and raise a complaint to get money back.
4. If you see that this type of issue are repeatedly happening then better change the service provider though mobile portability option.
5. If you are using GSM connection and you are getting on screen message and at the same time if you get a call and if you click green button (Receive a call) than your subscriptions get activated and money is deducted from your phone.
    To avoid this situation, please do not receive call, first exit from on screen message by pressing red button and then wait for a call.
6. Check your phone balance (*367*) for Reliance GSM phone twice a day.
